Straight there is a window, spilling air and sunday night through but still I breathe yesterday. I would love to seize nostalgic moments and little corpulent memories, kiss them blue and steal them away, painted and gold. But two hands short of amazing he sits a little dry, and I have seven hear-me-straights before the night fades.
my memories sit in the form of a tiny carousal horse, taunting me safely from its glass jail. its dusty golden mane reflects unattainable memories, it's porcelain body intricately laced with delicate designs. he calls out to me at night, quizzing me relentlessly with questions that i cannot answer: what did his laugh sound like? why did he always smell of autumn and vanilla ice-cream? there are wounds that even time cannot heal; for this reason, i will keep the horse to remind of him.

Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
